Wann kann ich mich bewerben? (fes.de)
Stipendien: Technische Hochschule
Würzburg-Schweinfurt (thws.de)
My name is Anastasiia Gabidullina, I am from Moscow
and this year I was admitted to study Kommunikationsdesign at Technische
Hochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt. I am very excited to start my first year and
happy about the opportunity to apply for this special Motivationsstipendium, as
it provides great support for those, who want to be fully focused on their
studies in the critical period of the first months of adaptation.
I know this first-hand, because I have invested a lot
of time and effort into my first linguistic degree to graduate with the highest
possible grades. Since then, I have been working as professional translator and
simultaneous interpreter on various exiting projects with customers ranging
from the British Council and the National Gallery, London, to energy companies
like BP and Equinor. This was when I saw how hours of studies turn into
practical results at work. (приложить

Parallel to my linguistic career, I have developed passion
for photography. So since 2018, I've been educating myself and accumulating
practical experience as a photographer, specializing in family and personal
photoshoots.
I also participate in various volunteering projects —
for instance, I have been involved in projects for UN Volunteers as a
translator. I also permanently volunteer for «I Love Life,» Russian charity
foundation where I organize photoshoots for cancer patients to support their
positive self-image and give them enjoyable photoshooting experience.
These activities made me want to obtain a new degree —
now in Design — a field that I believe is as multifaceted as it is promising
and socially relevant.
And I've always wanted to study in Germany, a country known
for its influential artistic movements, such as Bauhaus, Jugendstil, and Neo-Expressionismus.
Today’s German design is also globally known for its high quality and
cutting-edge innovation. Not to mention the opportunity to study in a modern
and multicultural environment.
So I've chosen THWS ТэХаВэЭс, one of the largest technical Hochschulen in Bayern, not
only because of its variety of modern equipment and facilities, but, most
importantly, because it promotes human-centered and humanistic approach to design.
The students’ works that I've seen in THWS also demonstrate high-quality results
of its educational approach.
I believe that nowadays it is important to bring more humanism and attention
to the needs of real people into social discourse. I see design as a good
vehicle for this with its ability to clearly and effectively convey important
messages. By combining my existing communication skills with the newly acquired
visualization ones, I hope to be able to do so becoming also a valuable
professional.
As such, I would love to be involved in communication
and awareness campaigns run by United Nations on topics like human rights, climate
change and women empowerment. Being privileged to have access to high-quality
education, I want to participate in teamwork, which enables more men and women to
obtain professional qualifications that would help them out of poverty, ensure
peace and therefore support the global sustainable development.
In September, I will be leaving my job to fully concentrate on studies —
getting the Stipendium will greatly
help me ensure I get the most of the educational process and lay a solid
foundation for building my future professional capabilities, so that I can contribute
to the society as a skilled worker and a designer that places human being in
the center of her works.
Thank you for your attention and the opportunities you give to the incoming
foreign students.
Ich bin auf das Ergebnis sehr gespannt.
